  I work in an industry that often needs the assistance of a heating and cooling company, so have referred this company several times to my clients. What a shock when I went to use them for myself and received the most unfair treatment. The serviceman, who I was later told was the owner was supposed to come to install new parts for us. He never showed for the appointment. I tried calling to find out if and when the parts would be installed, no one ever returned my call. I will now pay another company a service fee and order the parts through them...

  Engineer came out to assess and service gas fire, advised it would take 1-2 weeks to order and install new part. Confirmed an estimate for the works would be emailed before progressing the works. 1 day short of 2 weeks later and we’re still waiting for any of the actions to be carried out. I have also left 5 phone messages requesting an update and to date nothing. Would not be such an issue if it was not winter and we did not have a newborn baby. Very disappointed. **UPDATE** Saga continued with the next visit to fit faulty part. Turns out the wrong part was ordered. It took the technician an hr or so to realise this. After numerous phone calls to whoever appeared to be advising them on how to fix the fire?! Technician left advising that they would order correct part and then advise on new installation date. Technicians are very nice but all we want is a competent technician to fix our fire and Halls did not portray themselves in that way. After waiting approximately 6 weeks we have decided to go with another company. It’s a gas fire afterall and it’s not a service where you should be questioning the competence of the company.   Asked for an quote and design on a HVAC system and was told next week five times then they would not return calls. Very poor response to get business and very un professional. If they do not try to get business how good will their after sales service really be??
